IMS SCIM
IMS SCIM
The Rhino IMS SCIM is a new, evolutionary way of developing services for IMS networks. New or variants of existing services can be composed from combinations and permutations of existing and new services. Additional service logic is employed to control the interactions between the service components. These new, targeted service offerings can be specific to individual subscribers or various subscriber groupings, depending upon the market segmentation required. Rhino IMS SCIM means that the situation that pertains today – standard, one-size-fits-all, utilitarian telecommunications services – can be changed to a world where specific customer needs are understood, recognized and addressed with targeted offerings at a radically lower price-point than has hitherto been possible. This means that service innovations for which the business case on IN was poor or unknowable can be re-appraised and trailed in a cost-effective manner.
Existing services do not need to be altered to be managed when using the Rhino IMS SCIM environment. Additional service logic can be added pre and post-service invocation within the call/session path. Existing services may be hosted on the Rhino SIP Application Server or on one or more remote SIP Application Servers. Any valid IMS Application Server can be used by the Rhino IMS SCIM to compose new services.
Additionally new services can also be developed cost effectively and deployed using the OpenCloud Rhino IMS Application Server and integrated into the SIS environment. Rhino IMS SCIM, in common with Rhino IN SIS, provides a scriptable interface for service composition and interaction. New services are created from existing services using XML.
